Hi, I'm Dean

JOIN ME.
I'm Dean Michniew — Level 3 Personal Trainer, functional fitness coach, and the bloke at the front of the Sunday Running Club every week, rain or shine.
I got into coaching because of what fitness actually gives you — not the extremes, not the aesthetics. Energy, resilience, confidence in your own body. That's what I want for the people I work with. No crash programmes, no punishing regimes. Just well-coached, consistent effort that compounds into something real.
I'm an avid hybrid athlete — running, lifting, Hyrox racing. Whatever your starting point, I'll meet you there and help you progress.

RUNNING CLUB.
A free, friendly running & walking group I founded to get more of Bingham moving on a Sunday morning. Lap-based route, mixed paces, complete beginners welcome — followed by coffee & breakfast at Gilt.
This is the most important thing I do. It's where most clients start, where friendships form, and where you'll see what showing up looks like.
THURSDAY
BOOTCAMP.
An hour of proper graft at Bingham RUFC every Thursday at 5:30pm. Mixed-ability circuits — lunges, kettlebells, balance, sprints. Designed so a first-timer and a seasoned lifter can both leave wiped out and smiling.

"Going from someone who has never done more than 10 minutes exercise without getting out of breath, to someone who does at least 2hrs of fitness every day is a transformation I could never have dreamed of. Starting small with one group class a week with Dean, then two, then three, then with PT, then two PT, then run club (etc) has been an absolutely magical experience, and Dean has been there supporting and pushing me all the way. He is incredibly receptive to where I was in my fitness journey (ie, nowhere) and grows the plan around you as you change. He has changed my life immeasurably for the better - the new experiences I have done, people I have met, and friendships I have gained are priceless, as is a trust in my body to perform things I could never have dreamed of. If anyone is on the fence about whether a PT is for them, Dean is for you."

""I can't run. I won't run. Don't make me run." That was Charlotte's quote during our very first consultation. Fast forward to now: from struggling with a 5K last May to completing a 10K event just four months later, and many more races since. The progress she's made has been incredible to watch. Last December, Charlotte took on her first Hyrox and smashed it with a time of 1:26. Then she went to Cardiff and knocked another 7 minutes off, finishing in an impressive 1:19. What makes her journey even more special isn't just the times or events — it's the mindset shift. She's gone from training because she felt like she had to, to making fitness a genuine part of her lifestyle. Training 6 days a week, asking for workouts while on holiday, and showing up consistently no matter what. She lives in Zone 5 and somehow still manages to smile through it all. A fantastic client, an incredible athlete, and an even better friend. Proud of everything you've achieved, Charlotte. 👏🔥"

Do I need to be fit to start?
+
Absolutely not. I work with every level — from 'haven't exercised in a decade' to 'running my next half'.
How often should I train?
+
2–3× a week is the sweet spot for most. I'll work with what your week actually looks like.
Can I bring a friend?
+
Yes. Small-group sessions (2–3) are available at a reduced per-person rate.
Do you offer online coaching?
+
No. In-person only — coaching is the bit you're paying for.
